Refund & Cancellation

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling are handled for all services and products purchased through lauravanhapelto.com, operated by Embodied Wisdom Coaching Oy (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By purchasing from this Website, you agree to the terms below.

1. Coaching Sessions (1:1)

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Sessions may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the appointment without penalty.

  • Sessions cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the appointment are considered late cancellations and are non-refundable.

  • In the event of sudden illness or emergency
    If you become unexpectedly ill, injured, or experience an unforeseen emergency, please contact us as soon as possible. We offer one complimentary short-notice rescheduling per package or per calendar quarter, at our discretion.

  • If you do not attend your session without notice (“no show”), the session is non-refundable.


Refunds

  • Single coaching sessions are non-refundable once purchased, unless we cancel or reschedule due to reasons on our side.

  • If we cancel, you will be offered either:
    a) a new session time, or
    b) a full refund.

2. Coaching Packages

Coaching packages are designed as a committed, structured container and are priced accordingly. Package sessions follow the same scheduling and rescheduling guidelines as single sessions, including the complimentary short-notice reschedule in case of illness or emergency.

Refund Option After the First Session

If you feel after the first session that the coaching is not aligned for you, the first session will be charged at the full single-session rate, and the remaining balance of your package will be refunded.

After the First Session

  • Once the first session has taken place and no refund request has been made, the package becomes non-refundable.

  • If you choose not to complete the remaining sessions after that, no partial refund is provided.

If We Cancel

If unforeseen circumstances prevent us from delivering the package, we will reschedule the remaining sessions or refund the unused portion.

Session Timeline

All package sessions must be completed within the timeframe stated on the product page or within 12 months of purchase unless otherwise agreed.

3. Workshops & Events (Online & In-Person)

3.1 Single Workshops (one-time)

Cancellations by the Participant

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before the event may be eligible for a refund or ticket transfer, depending on the event description.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are non-refundable.

  • No-shows are non-refundable.

Cancellations by Us

If we must cancel or reschedule due to illness, technical issues, low enrollment, or other unexpected circumstances, you will receive:

  1. a new event date, or

  2. a full refund.

3.2 Multi-Part Workshops & Workshop Series

(e.g., 2–6 session series paid upfront, such as your January–March 3-part workshop)

For workshops that include multiple sessions:

  • Full payment is required at the time of registration.

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more before the first session may be eligible for a refund or ticket transfer.

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the first session are non-refundable.

  • Once the workshop series has begun, no refunds are issued for missed or unused sessions.

  • Missing a session does not entitle you to a partial refund.

If We Cancel the Series

If we must cancel the entire series, you will receive a full refund or transfer to a future program.
If a single session must be rescheduled, a new date will be provided.

3.3 Retreats

Retreats have separate refund and cancellation terms, which will be clearly stated on each retreat’s product page. These terms supersede the general workshop policy.

4. Digital Products (PDFs, Workbooks, Guides)

Digital products are delivered immediately after purchase.

Refunds

Digital products are non-refundable, as they cannot be returned once delivered.

By purchasing a digital product, you acknowledge that:

  • access or download begins immediately, and

  • you waive your EU right of withdrawal according to the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

5. Online Courses

Online courses may include pre-recorded content, written materials, and/or live elements.

Refunds

  • Online courses are non-refundable once access has been granted.

  • If you experience technical issues, we will help resolve them or provide an alternative form of access.

Cancellations

  • Online courses cannot be cancelled after access is provided.

6. Gift Cards

Gift cards:

  • are non-refundable,

  • cannot be exchanged for cash,

  • may be used toward eligible services or products, and

  • must be redeemed before the stated expiration date.

7. Mistaken Purchases

If you believe you made a purchase in error, contact us immediately at laura@vanhapelto.com.
We may offer a solution at our discretion, depending on the product or service.

8. Payment Issues & Failed Payments

If a payment is unsuccessful or reversed by your bank, access to digital products, courses, or coaching sessions may be temporarily paused until the payment issue is resolved. We will always notify you and make every effort to find a smooth solution together. If a payment dispute remains unresolved, remaining sessions or access may be put on hold.
